The European Year for Development

On February 13, 2015, the Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, Mr Neven Mimica visited the Croatian Parliament.

The event was organized by the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and the European Commission.

Minister of Foreing and European Affairs, Mrs Vesna Pusić, talked about Croatian development cooperation and Commisioner Mimica presented the European Year for Development 2015.

In the afternoon hours two round tables were held, where CROSOL was presented. CPS is the member and one of the founders of the CROSOL Platform, the Croatian Platform for International Citizen Solidarity, a non-governmental and non-profit organization of civil society, which is active in the area of international development cooperation and humanitarian aid.

Ring for Non-violence

A round table on peer violence with pupils, teachers and school staff, representatives of local institutions: social care centres, local authorities, police, and NGOs was held yesterday in Gospić in Ličko-senjska county. Second of three round tables was organized within the project and national campaign 'Violence leaves marks. Ring for Non-violence'.

Strategies for Using Rights and Achieving Equality

The SURE (Strategies for Using Rights and Achieving Equality) project aims to strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations, legal professionals, public institutions, and Ombudsperson offices to apply EU law to protect fundamental rights, democracy, and the rule of law.

Ensuring access to public services for older people in digital societies

Online public services can make it easier to get social benefits or find information. But older people sometimes lack the necessary digital skills to use them. This is a potential barrier to their fundamental rights. It can put them at a disadvantage and risks excluding them from our digitalised societies, warns a report from the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA). EU countries need to ensure access to public services for everyone. Older people should be able to choose how they access public services and receive support to learn digital skills.

Faces of solidarity today

On April 9th 2022, the Centre for Peace Studies organized an interesting interactive activity "Faces of Solidarity Today" in the Močvara club with participants and coordinators of the Peace Studies program and other interested citizens.
