Share your ideas of what a „good“ society means to you, and if your story is selected, Commonfare will send you to the amazing Santarcangelo Festival in Santarcangelo di Romagna, Italy from July 12th to 15th, 2018 as a Commonfare.net blogger. Commonfare will cover the expenses of travel, accommodation and provide a daily allowance for you to enjoy the Festival to the fullest.

[MIGRENT] publication promotion

On Tuesday, October 3, at 18h in Booksa, the [MIGRENT] publication will be promoted. At the promotion, Bashkim Fazliu (Taste of Home) and Prince Wale Soniyiki (Association of Africans in Croatia, African Cuisine) will present the examples of migrant entrepreneurship and migrant social entrepreneurship in Croatia, while Tina Lee Odinsky-Zec (Zagreb School of Economics and Management) and Hermes Arriaga Sierra (Impact Hub Zagreb) will talk about opportunities and challenges for migrant (social) entrepreneurs in Croatia. Sara Kekuš from the Centre for Peace Studies will moderate the conversation. After the conversation and Q&A session, we will continue networking and socializing with the Taste of Home catering.

One Month of Humanitarian Crisis in Croatia

The "Welcome" Initiative for refugees support, one month after the humanitarian crisis in Croatia started and almost 200.000 refugees entered the country, is organizing a discussion with activists and volunteers from Serbia and Slovenia "One Month of Humanitarian Crisis in Croatia" on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Zelena akcija premises (Frankopanska 1, Zagreb).

Freedom of speech in Croatia costs: Zagreb Pride seeks support and call for solidarity

In a recent decision, the Osijek County Court confirmed the decision of the Zagreb Municipal Court, which found that Zagreb Pride violated personal honor and dignity of Karolina Vidović Krišto, now a former employee of Croatian Radio Television (HRT), by placing her on the annual list of candidates for the most homophobic person of the year in 2013. According to the verdict, Zagreb Pride is obliged to pay 41.018,91 HRK (approximately 5414 EUR or 6028 USD).
