One Month of Humanitarian Crisis in Croatia

The "Welcome" Initiative for refugees support, one month after the humanitarian crisis in Croatia started and almost 200.000 refugees entered the country, is organizing a discussion with activists and volunteers from Serbia and Slovenia "One Month of Humanitarian Crisis in Croatia" on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Zelena akcija premises (Frankopanska 1, Zagreb).

The discussion on how CSOs organized in the field and provided support to refugees from Harmica and Bregana to Bapska and Opatovac, establishment of solidarity networks and next steps in ensuring the safe passage of refugees through Europe will be moderated by Iva Marčetić from "Welcome" Initiative.

The speakers in the discussion will be:

  • Gordana Vukašin, Center for protection and assistance to asylum seekers from Serbia
  • Aigul Hakimova, Fronta brez meja from Slovenia
  • Sanja Burlović, "Welcome" Refugee Support Initiative
  • Remar Association representative from Croatia
