Four years after Madina’s death, Madina and her family finally got justice! Today, the European Court of Human Rights issued a ruling upholding violations of the right to life, of the prohibition of torture and inhuman treatment, of the prohibition on collective expulsion, of the right to security and liberty, and of the right of individual petition.

Little Madina Hussiny and her family were thus recognized by the supreme Court of Human Rights as victims of the illegal expulsion that resulted in the loss of the life of a six-year-old girl on November 21, 2017.

The decision was made in a procedure in which the Hussiny family was represented by lawyer Sanja Bezbradica Jelavić in cooperation with the Centre for Peace Studies.
