Prague conference on the role of media and propaganda in refugee crisis was a succes

On 26th and 27th January, an international conference on the role of media, journalists and propaganda during the so-called refugee crisis took place in Prague’s conference centre Evropský dům. The conference was attended by approximately a hundred participants, consisting of professionals, politicians, journalists, students, pedagogues or state officials working with migrants.

European Border and Coast Guard Authority: Another brick in Fortress Europe

In December 2015, in the middle of the so-called “refugee crisis“, the European Commission has proposed to set up a European Border and Coast Guard Authority (EBCGA) as one of the key measure “to protect Europe's external Borders“. The aim declared by the Commission was a better management of migration, and the need “to offer a high level of security within the Union, while safeguarding the free movement of persons therein“.

CPS and GONG: President should declare her ties to Football Federation, Mamić...

The Centre for Peace Studies and GONG NGOs on Monday condemned last week's violence of some football fans but also calls for lynching hooligans, saying the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) was poorly run and calling on President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic to publicly declare her personal, social, political and business ties to the HNS and controversial football manager Zdravko Mamic.

Croatia can do better!

"Croatia can do better" was the message sent by more than 50,000 Croatians who demonstrated in the main square of the capital Zagreb on Wednesday, in support of the long-overdue educational reforms and the expert group leading the design and planning of the reform for the last 14 months.
