Christina Nikolaidou (Journalist, Public Information Officer @IOM, GREECE)

Christine Nikolaidou is a journalist and for the last three and a half years she is the Public Information Officer in IOM’s mission in Greece. From 2007 up to 2016 she has been working as a reporter and an anchorwoman in SKAI TV, a private Greek broadcasting channel. She was also a three - year experience in newspapers and magazines. She has studied journalism and Mass Media Communication in National Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Giovanni Fontana (President @Second Tree)

Second Tree is a community-led, volunteer-run, grassroots NGO that supports, teaches and learns with refugees across Northern Greece. Our founders were volunteers that independently responded to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in early 2016. They met in Katsikas Refugee Camp and left their old lives to build an organisation that first and foremost treats refugees like humans. Since then, our team of volunteers has grown to 15 people, and we have reached hundreds of refugees through our programs. We currently work in two camps and one Community Centre reaching approximately 2,500 people.

Sandra Mateus (researcher @ISCTE-Lisbon)

Sandra Mateus has a PhD in Sociology and is currently an invited researcher fellow at CIES-IUL, ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and a guest assistant professor at the Department of Sociology, ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL). She is the coordinator for Portugal of the PandPAS European project, focused on refugees’ integration and support (2017-2019); and of the “Below 10” European project (Erasmus+), focused on Early School Leaving in Europe.
